This highly practical course will provide unique learning opportunity from a panel of expert educators in the area of tissue viability and wound debridement in the UK and further afield. Across the duration of the two days participants will have the opportunity to learn and explore a range of different subjects as well as practice debridement techniques, ask questions and discuss approaches under the guidance of experts.
Wound bed preparation is a concept that manages current practice for the treatment of chronic wounds by removing the barriers to healing.
These barriers are defined as 4 clinical observations within the wound:
- Tissue non-viable or deficient (T)
- Infection or inflammation (I)
- Moisture imbalance (M)
- Edge of wound non advancing (E)
