Introduction
In this educational module, learners will gain knowledge in fracture management of the shoulder, elbow and wrist.
Pre-requisites
- A basic understanding of upper limb anatomy and trauma related surgery
What you will learn
- Identify the most common fracture types of fractures of the shoulder; proximal Humerus fracture, glenoid fractures, and scapula fractures and discuss soft tissue injury associated with the broken bone
- Classify fractures using standard classifications based on diagnostic images
- Describe the epidemiology of wrist fractures
- Explain the anatomy of the wrist and hand relevant to fractures requiring surgical intervention
