Vinod Dasa, MD

Dr. Dasa completed his undergraduate and medical school in the 7 year combined degree program at Union College and Albany Medical College in New York. After completing medical school, Dr. Dasa trained in the State University at New York (SUNY) at Buffalo orthopaedic surgery residency program. In 2006 he furthered his training at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute, Manhattan, New York, in Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement Surgery. This fellowship is internationally recognized as one of the pioneers in total knee replacement surgery.

After completing his fellowship Dr. Dasa decided to begin his careers as faculty at LSUHSC to help rebuild post Katrina. In his tenure at LSU he has developed surgical techniques to allow outpatient opioid free total knee replacement and pioneered the use of cutting edge technologies such as Iovera. He has presented and published his research internationally in some of the world's leading publications and meetings. He serves in leadership roles both regionally and nationally and was most recently involved in national expert panels to help CMS redesign the delivery of total joint replacements and establish national guidelines on the management of knee arthritis. He currently serves as vice chair for academic affairs for the department of orthopedics, Irvin Cahen endowed chair for research, chair of the LSU clinical practice leadership group. His research interests cover all areas of adult orthopaedics focusing on joint replacement, knee arthritis, health disparities and outcomes research. He is one of the few surgeons in the world performing outpatient opioid free total knee replacements allowing patients to recover in the shortest time possible

Seth Sherman, MD

Dr. Seth L. Sherman is a third-generation team physician and surgeon. He is board certified and fellowship trained in Sports Medicine. Dr. Sherman is proud to serve as Orthopedic Surgeon for Stanford Cardinal Football and as the Sports Medicine fellowship director.

Dr. Sherman specializes in arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical interventions for the knee and shoulder. He has subspecialty and research interests in knee joint preservation/cartilage restoration and the patellofemoral joint. As a tertiary care provider, Dr. Sherman offers non-surgical and salvage surgical solutions for active patients with complex problems and in cases where other surgeries have failed.

Dr. Sherman completed his residency training at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and was trained by the team physicians for the NY Giants, Mets, and Knicks. During his sports medicine fellowship in Chicago , he served as assistant team physician for the Chicago Bulls and White Sox. Prior to joining the team at Stanford University in July 2019, he served as team physician for the Mizzou Tigers in the NCAA SEC conference.

Dr. Sherman is co-author on more than 100 peer reviewed articles/chapters and actively presents his research at national and international meetings. He is Chairman of the AAOS Sports Medicine/Arthroscopy committee and holds leadership positions in several other organizations (AOSSM, AANA, ISAKOS, ICRS). He is a member of the prestigious international ACL and Patellofemoral Study Groups.

Sabrina Strickland, MD

Dr. Sabrina Strickland is board certified in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery at HSS, where she specializes in patellofemoral surgery for instability, cartilage disease, ACL, meniscal surgery, and shoulder surgery. She completed her residency and fellowship in sports medicine at HSS after completing medical school at Rush in Chicago. Prior to that, Dr. Strickland received her BA from Cornell University. Currently, Dr. Strickland is an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. She retired in 2012 from her part-time position as the Chief of Orthopedics at the VA after seven years of service.

Dr. Strickland is a member of the International Patellofemoral Study Group, the International Cartilage Repair Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Her research focuses on the knee joint, specifically cartilage transplants, patellofemoral arthritis and instability, and ACL and meniscal repair. She has published biomechanics research specifically looking at optimizing patellofemoral surgery by 3D printing knees as well as assessing techniques for better surgical outcomes. She regularly speaks at domestic and international conferences to share her expertise
